Tyler Smith is passionate about the quarter horse industry. Her life revolves around breeding, raising, and training top-class Reining horses and Cow horses.
She is recognised in the top 5 Australian Reining Horse earning riders, with multiple National and State titles to her name. Most recently she won the $50,000 Reining Australia Futurity, being the first woman ever to win the event with the highest score on record.
At the centre of her breeding program is her five imported quarter horse mares. These mares not only carry the best bloodlines in the world, but many have won National Titles and or their progeny have won over $100,000 in Australia. Every year Tyler spends countless hours researching the best possible cross for the mares so she can breed a foal that is not only marketable but will do the job when it comes to high-level competition.

Q Vista Step it Up (Zoey):
4 year old Reining Futurity Mare – This mare is the most talented mare Tyler has had the privilege of training, she is level 4 (the highest level in the sport). She is the current Reining Australia Futurity Champion.
Plum Outta Town (Plum):
7-year-old imported Reining Derby Mare- The current Reining Australia Non Pro Derby Champion, with many state titles to her name.
Whiskey Time (Susie):
4 Year old Cow horse Mare – This mare is the start of something new for Tyler. She will be introducing Tyler into the Cowhorse scene as well as the Greatest Horsemen Events. She is teaching Tyler a lot and she is so much fun. She will also be a major part of the breeding team with her dam being a hall of fame mare.

“All my horses are always looking for the cubes at feed up time and I love the way they grow and maintain their weight with them. When we go away for shows we always take the compressed bales and bedding to make sure we give the horses the best nutrition and the comfort they deserve.”
