Emma’s love for Clydesdales began as a child, watching in amazement at the Clydesdales presented at the Perth Royal Show. That passion grew into a lifelong commitment to these gentle giants.
In 2007 she founded Colonial Clydesdales & Carriages, and today she travels across Australia with one of the last professional Clydesdale teams—preserving their heritage, sharing their beauty, and creating unforgettable experiences for people everywhere.
Emma is now based in Killawarra, North East Victoria, where the Colonial Clydesdales travel from to bring a unique and unforgettable experience to people throughout Australia. Her aim is to preserve these magnificent horses and the skills and traditions that are associated with them, before they are lost to the pages of the history books forever.
Emma achieves this by presenting the Colonial Clydesdales at public events such as agricultural shows, festivals and events. In addition, she also caters for private weddings, parties, funerals, anniversaries and functions, corporate promotions and marketing. Her Clydesdale horses and range of carriages, wagons and horse drawn farming implements are available also for ridden events, photo shoots and movies,
Emma particularly enjoys taking the magnificent Clydesdales to meet people at events seeing the joy and delight on peoples faces when they get to pat, photograph, and interact with the Clydesdales.
Emma’s favourite MultiCube product is the Multicube Lucerne and Oaten Hay Cubes. They provide a great source of palatable fibre for the Clydesdales and, in addition, provide them with the appropriate energy and protein to keep them in top shape during their busy days at events. Emma also brings them along when the team travels to various shows and events throughout the year. Adding extra water when soaking the Hay Cubes to provide some of the additional hydration that the Clydesdales horses need when working hard.
“All my horses are always looking for the cubes at feed up time and I love the way they grow and maintain their weight with them. When we go away for shows we always take the compressed bales and bedding to make sure we give the horses the best nutrition and the comfort they deserve.”
